mySciliar – Apartments in perfect balance between tradition & modern design
Which name is suitable for a new residence house in Siusi, which at the same time looks back on a long tradition as an inn and even before that as a dance hall? We have been thinking back and forth for a long time. That is, because we wanted to consider the heritage of the place as well as investing in the future. In the end, we decided to keep the traditional name of the house “Sciliar” in the slightly modified form “mySciliar”. As we are building on the past and at the same time, we also want to shape the future in our home village of Siusi with new and personal ideas.
High Society Meeting Place at 1,000 m
Even before the World War Siusi was a popular holiday resort for noblemen and artists, such as the Russian Baron Bobrinskij, the Norwegian politician Sigurd Ibsen, the actor Bjørn Bjørnson, the Countess von Fersen and for many others. They all wanted to relax from their mundane life in Siusi and stayed for a longer time. Even after the end of the war our village remained a popular holiday destination for guests from near and far. They spent their summer holidays at 1,000 m above sea level and enjoyed the crystal-clear air. Some of them came back every year with their families and made Siusi their second home.
The first Jukebox in the Schlern region
Even then the dance hall “Sciliar”, where today our holiday flats are located, was a popular meeting point. In fact, it was the only dance hall with its own jukebox in the whole “Alpe di Siusi” area. The young people danced to lively music, ate ice cream, or flirted on the terrace. Then as now, the guests of the “Sciliar” enjoyed the view of the local mountain of Siusi, the Sciliar. It is a symbol of our region Alto Adige /Südtirol, from which the house got its name.

The Sciliar in the light of the sunset, visible on the terrace of “mySciliar”, simply fascinates everyone. It is probably because of this magical sight that so many people fall in love with this place. My family and I can call it home. We hope that you too will find Your personal holiday home here!
